The Village of Arlington is a growing community of 825 residents located just twenty miles north of downtown Madison in southern Columbia County. Arlington enjoys an atmosphere of "small-town" charm as well as access to the best of an urban lifestyle. A Village President and a four member Village Board govern the Village. Arlington provides a wide range of quality municipal services, including public utilities (water and sewer), public works, parks, and general government services. Arlington residents today enjoy a quality of life that is second to none in Columbia County.

Absentee voting can be done for any election. If you want to get your ballot in the mail for any of the 2020 elections, complete your application on line or request one (608-635-2474). Apply online at myvote.wi.gov. If you submitted your photo ID for the April Election, you will not need to do it again.

PUBLIC WORKS POSITION: Village of Arlington is accepting applications for a full time Utility/Public Works Position.  Application and Position Description. Qualifications required: Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a CDL within one year of hire. Successful applicant will hold water and sewer certifications or become certified timely. Salary based on experience and certifications.  Mail application to Village of Arlington, PO Box 207, Arlington, WI 53911 or in person at Village Office, 200 Commercial St. Posting will be pulled when position is filled.


Village Board Meetings: Join us on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 for the Village Board meeting. There is always time at the start of the meeting to ask questions or voice your concerns. MAIN STREET 2020

State Highway 60 (Main Street) between County Trunk I and US Highway 51 in the Village of Arlington will be closed to thru traffic until November 1, 2020 for street reconstruction. A detour route will be provided on US Highway 51 and I-39/90/94. Access will be available to the industrial park,  local businesses and residences during construction.
